Subject: [Tweeters] 2007 WOS Conference in Grays Harbor County
Date: Aug 17 15:52:29 2007
From: Kathy Andrich - chukarbird at yahoo.com

Hi Tweeters,

I have been working on some conference stuff this week
and wanted to put out another reminder, registration
is still available for the conference being held from
September 14 through 17th this year in Aberdeen. The
Saturday pelagic is full but space is available for
the Sunday and Monday boats. We have a lot of out of
state folks joining us this year and very few eastside
Washingtonians joining us. Don't know what is up with
that.

Have you been reading the Sullivan's posts? There are
three Bar-tailed Godwits in Tokeland. Maybe a
Hudsonian's Godwit will join them by the time the
conference arrives.

WOS is waiving the late fee until August 31. We have
to let the caterer know about banquet meals shortly
after that date. So you can still register and sign
up for the banquet which will be Saturday night with
our keynote speaker Dennis Paulson speaking on
shorebirds of the Pacific Northwest. Friday night
Michael Donohue will be speaking about Washington
State pelagic birds.

The land based field trips radiate out from Aberdeen,
north as far as Lake Quinalt and Point Grenville with
the ever important Ocean Shores in between. South
trips to Raymond with many wonderful places in between
(such as Tokeland), east to Chehalis River and
Wynoochee Valley.

Hope to see you there!
