Subject: [Tweeters] Pygmy Nuthatch - Olympia

A little flock of chickadees flew over my yard while I was pulling weeds, and one or more birds had distinctly short tails plus I was hearing a high pitched "toot toot". The birds stopped in our fir trees so I got out the binos and eventually found a Pygmy Nuthatch with the Chestnut-backed Chickadees. There may have been as many as three as the voices seemed greater than one bird's worth.

So those on the west side of Olympia, keep your ears open for these little eastern WA visitors.
