Tweeters,

I stopped by the Stanwood STP early this morning for about 5 minutes to
quickly scope the birds in the entrance marsh. Craig Kemper was already
scoping and we observed that this morning there were now 10 STILT SANDPIPERS
present. Craig also mentioned that he had seen a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON
a few minutes earlier.

Stopping again early evening I noted the following of interest:

(marsh entrance)
6 STILT SANDPIPERS
3 SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS
4 KILLDEER
3 WILSON'S SNIPE
2 LEAST SANDPIPERS
4 WESTERN SANDPIPERS
6 LESSER YELLOWLEGS
2 GREATER YELLOWLEGS

(main pond)
22 RED-NECKED PHALAROPE
2 WILSON'S PHALAROPE
1 HORNED GREBE
1 COMMON LOON in breeding plumage
