There are plenty of places to make passing ugly comments about our government and leaders; but I thought this was NOT one of them. I'd love to see them stop, they're
really tiring and inconsiderate. No matter what side of the fence you're on... they have NO place here. We'd dare not insult a neighbor over religious beliefs, Maybe we could
practice the same respect and not insult our tweeter neighbors with disrespectful political statements.

Fun Stuff:
This week, I have enjoyed a number of grosbeaks that have decided my feeders are the "in place". While I used to see just one every
now and again, I have 5 - 8 that are just all over the place the last week! I'm loving it! My goldfinches have decided to hang out at the end of the street.. :O(

I have two stellar jays that have moved in on my feeder.. I thought maybe one was a younger bird, due to what I'm reading about color. Isnt' it rather LATE for
a baby jay? The "baby" sits on my porch rail and cries when the other eats from the feeder, holding his mouth open as the other goes by, as if a baby waiting to
be fed... Eventually, he'll hush, and get in the feeder. Baby? Or habits of a male and female pair?

My wild bird store lady encouraged me to purchase a log feeder for my much loved little woodpeckers. It's one with the holes you fill with suet plugs. Of course I bought it!
I'm a softie for bird purchases. LOL It hangs on my porch. Once in a while, a 'pecker will come... they seem to prefer the nutty seed laden suet squares hanging on the big feeder.
My nuthatches, however are really diggin' the woodpecker feeder. Go figure. LIke buying a kid a toy and they play with the box....

You know that four legged critter we don't talk about that bothers the things we do talk about? Well, my woes were cured by this lovely little gadget... http://www.pestproducts.com/scarecrow.htm
Works like a CHARM. Word of warning - be sure to warn your family it's out there... <smirk> I will not say that I laughed when my unsuspecting husband walked past it...

If anyone has any good recommendations for birdbaths (purchase) and how to select one, please email me privately. I have prepared two places in my
yard with ready access to shrubs/trees/feeders that I would love to place birdbaths. I can't seem to find one I like.. they're all rpetty small, and rather deep. I'd like a rather large shallow dish that I
could fill with water and pea gravel.

I also saw two coopers hawks today! That was cool!

Cheers!
