This morning near 10:30am there were 7 Turkey Vultures feeding on the ground on the western end of Wenzel Slough Rd.. There appeared to be some cow "parts" scattered about the field they were in.

Also, a small muddy area on the west end hosted a mixed group of about 30 Western and Least Sandpipers. This spot is usually a big puddle during the winter and it seems with the recent heavy rains that it may be a good spot to check for shorebirds this fall.
