This morning, Joe Engler, Refuge Biologist, and I saw an early Greater
White-fronted Goose flying over Rest Lake. Some of the other unusual
sightings for the day were a Solitary Sandpiper, two Red-shouldered Hawks, a
Sharp-shinned Hawk, two Green Herons, a Canvasback, two Ravens, and several
Black-throated Grey Warblers. Two Black-crowned Night Herons had been seen
within the last day.
