I apologize for this late posting for my trip yesterday (Tuesday) to the Stanwood STP.
I did see at one point 10 Stilt Sandpipers and suspect there were more behind vegetation in the little wetland to the west of the STP office. Both Dowitcher species were also present plus one Snipe and a Virginia Rail.

I also saw what looked like an American Black Duck. From what I have heard there used to be Black Ducks breeding around Spencer Island and that occasionally people still report seeing Black Ducks in the area. So add me to that list. It was sitting with two mallards on the easternmost pond on one of the middle pilings of the semicircle of pilings at the sound end of the pond.
