Tweets,

I checked a few waterbird spots in King County today. Traffic was horrible.

First, Richmond Beach on the Snohomish County Line at the foot of 205th St. About 450 larids roosting at low tide just south of the Pt. Wells piers. Mostly Californias with a few Glaucous-winged, 25 Heermann's, adult and immature, and 15 Caspian Terns, including quite a few juveniles. Plus three Western Sandpipers, two juvies and one molting adult, plus one Least, plus 13 juvie Red-necked Phalaropes about 200 yards offshore. Also five female-type Harlequin Ducks.

Boeing Ponds: not much, just one molting adult Greater Yellowlegs, a Green Heron, and a bedraggled summering Brant with a flock of Canadas.

Llama Lake in Sammamish: 20 Killdeer, 3 juvenile Lesser Yellowlegs, and one juvie PECTORAL SANDPIPER.
