Last week our son Brad, was tagging sturgeon in the Columbia River,
in the Umatilla NWR, and spotted eleven juvenile GREAT EGRETs standing on
nests on one of the islands on the Washington side of the river. He said
that they seemed to be exercising their wings flapping and jumping on the
nests, is this a known nesting site?
