Subject: [Tweeters] Birds in the News #96 (v3n23) (link)

Hello Tweeties,

Sometime on this past Saturday night, my SB blog
received its one millionth visitor. Wow! Not bad for
someone who mostly writes about birds, huh? This event
occurred a little earlier than I expected because a
story I wrote about vervet monkeys in Kenya was linked
by the news service, Slash Dot. This link created a
"traffic tsunami" on my blog.

This week's Birds in the News is a big issue, with
lots of interesting stories in my favorite section,
"Birds in Science". However, that said, there are
plenty of stories about birds for everyone to enjoy.
This week's featured image is a USFWS picture of Bald
Eagle landing on its nest -- stunning!

As always, if you have bird images that you'd like to
share with a large audience, feel free to email them
to me, along with information as to how you'd like
them to be credited.
