We were given permission to put a photo of the Ruff onto our website originally taken by Scott Downes at Midway Beach Rd. on the 25th of August. Scott photographed this bird through his small digital camera and is only a "proof" photo. The bird is fairly buffy overall with somewhat dark legs,but some Ruffs can have dull greenish legs and perhaps the camera didn't pick up on the true color of the legs. The photo doesn't show any detail,but the overall size and color is characteristic of a Ruff. It is a nice find for Scott,but perhaps the bird has migrated on unless it is still in the area.
