Actually, i misspoke (miswrote??) in my message to
Phil (sorry Phil). The peach-faced lovebirds were not
hybridized with masked lovebirds, but they were
hybridized instead with the masked lovebirds' sister
species, Fischer's lovebirds. But nonetheless, this is
an interesting series of studies that explore the
genetic basis of behavior.

Since Phil forwarded this message to you, I am
inspired to hunt down all those papers so I can write
an complete essay about this for all of you. It might
take a little while for me to get the original
material, but I'll be sure to let you all know when I
have finished the piece.
