This morning I checked the gulls at Borst Park in Centralia. Not to
many gulls hanging around, but I did have 1 adult Herring and 1 adult
Thayer's. This now makes the 5th year in a row for the Thayer's at this
location.
At the Chehalis River Discovery Trail, the snow began to fall, quite
heavy at times, and the wind didn't help make it easy to find a whole
lot of birds. Here's what I did manage to see.
several Wood Ducks in the slough
1 Bald Eagle
2 American Kestrels
1 Downy Woodpecker
2 Scrub Jays
21 Western Meadowlarks
17 Golden-crowned Sparrows
1 Fox Sparrow
nice flock of Pine Siskins about 150 birds
