Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday December 6. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls
at 503-233-3976.

The major windstorm on the coast apparently did little damage to birdlife
except where a number of BROWN PELICANS were blown into Port Orford and were
found dead all over town.

On December 3 a SNOW BUNTING was at Bandon. Three TRUMPETER SWANS were seen
December 3 at Ridgefield NWR. On December 4 a WHITE PELICAN was at the
Portland Airport. The next day a LAPLAND LONGSPUR was on nearby Braughton
Beach.

Over 20 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS were seen December 4 at Lower Klamath NWR. On
December 1, 200 ROSY-FINCHES and 150 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were seen near
Heppner. The seasons first HARRIS?S SPARROW was seen November 29 at Ladd
Marsh WMA near LaGrande.

That?s it for this week.
