Hi everyone,
This morning I got up early and went on a walk around my neighborhood to see
what birds were around. quite a few it turns out. there were small flocks of
pine siskins everywhere totaling at least 100 birds, probably a lot more.
these siskins were only here in very small numbers in the last week but I
could have missed them while I was at school. there were a few goldfinches
mixed in with them. as I was stumbling down a nettle infested hillside
trying to get a better look at some sparrows some calling evening grosbeaks
flew over. there were about 5 but I didnt get a great view of them. I have
never seen evening grosbeaks here before in the winter. now I'm very excited
for the coming winter.
