This afternoon around 3:30pm, I located a single female Redhead on the large lake south of Vance Creek County Park in Elma. The duck showed a blue-gray bill, a brown-cinnamon head, light brown body with a darker back, and light gray wing edges. It was more active than the other ducks it was with. These included 12 Lesser Scaup and 10 Ring-necked Ducks. Also, further west on the lake I found 7 Common Mergansers and 2 Northern Shovelers.

Wenzel Slough Road is still flooded in a couple spots and please be aware of the washed away road shoulders on Wakefield Road as you approach Wenzel Slough Road coming from the Third Street exit. In a couple spots there doesn't look to be much roadbed left underneath the shoulder. Also, as of yesterday Brady Loop Road was not passable as well with flooded areas on both sides of the loop. The damage from the wind and the water is incredible.
