Subject: [Tweeters] SNOWY OWL IN SAN DIEGO--not

Boy, some people are just awful dadgummed picky. Of course the SNOWY OWL
itself was actually seen in South Dakato--everybody knows THAT--but the
posting appeared on the San Diego listserv. Doesn't that make it a west
coast bird? I mean, if I'm standing in my yard and I see a Ruffled Grouch
walking across the street, I count it as a yard Grouch. Wouldn't you?
Sure, I saw it FROM my yard and not IN my yard, but............. And
besides, both locales have the same initials. Sheesh, doesn't that count
for anything. Gosh, what a bunch of babies...................

"Why listen, lady," Mr. Shiflet said with a grin of delight, "the monks of
old slept in their coffins."
"They wasn't as advanced as we are," the old woman said.
