In general, markers (bands/tags/collars) can be reported to the
USGS/Bird Banding Lab 1-800-327-BAND (see
http://www.pwrc.usgs.gov/bbl/homepage/reptauxm.htm). In this case,
since we know where the tag came from, you can send your sightings
directly to Dr. Peter Sharpe, Institute for Wildlife Studies,
sharpe at iws.org. He appreciates any photos too. Also, I noticed a
typo in my earlier report: the eagle left Santa Catalina Island in fall
2002 not 2003. Dr. Sharpe is hoping the eagle returns to Santa
Catalina, but he may have discovered the good life now that he's in WA.
