I'll chime in too.

The only "westside" Goshawk I recall seeing was up at Deer Park south of Sequim, at a fairly high elevation. I recall we could look due west from there and see part of the Hurricane Ridge Road, so we were up fairly high. If memory serves, this was in May or June about 4 years ago and it was an adult. We spotted what I assume was the same bird in the same area about two weeks later.

This was probably one of the Olympic birds Diann is referring to in her post.

Just to put my two cents in: during the fifteen years I've been doing a migration census at Salt Creek County Park, we have seen one goshawk, years back. It certainly may have been one of the Olympic goshawks we hear about, but since it was over the water, we counted it. But whether it came from Vancouver Island, I don't know. They may be in the Olympics, but we don't see them at sea level.
