This afternoon I checked the pond at the end of Goodrich Rd. in
Centralia. Tons of waterfowl. Mostly American Wigeons. After careful
scanning through Northern Pintails, Lesser Scaups, Ring-necked Ducks,
Mallards, Northern Shovelers, Buffleheads, Common Goldeneyes, and
Green-winged Teal, I found 4 Eurasian Wigeons. A Bald Eagle made an
appearance and put the entire flock of birds in the air. but they all
settled back down nicely. Also a small flock of Dunlin were flying around.
On the way home, I found a Merlin on top of a power pole on Galvin Rd.,
just past the Chronicle and Sign Pro buildings.
