Hi All,

On a quick trip through the Snoqualmie Valley between Carnation and Fall City today, I came across a pair of REDHEAD ducks. Redheads are pretty unusual on this side of the mountains in my experience, so I was pleased to find them. They were located in a flooded field near the Jubilee Farm. The field is right by the road, just south of "East Main Street" - which is really just a little E-W jog in West Snoqualmie River Road between Tall Chief Golf Course and Carnation Marsh. In that field, which is always very good for ducks once it floods for the duration of the winter, were probably 80 Mallards, 6 NORTHERN PINTAIL (with which the Redheads were associating) and a couple of Buffleheads.

[Oh, yes, and I did see six or seven Goshawks - amazingly, once I realized I had been overlooking them forever, they just started to appear everywhere! (Just kidding, just kidding!!)]
