Hi Tweets -
Today Becky Uhler & I spent a sunny day around Skagit county birding.
Great day to be out --
Some of the highlights included:

SWAMP SPARROW - at the Skagit Game Range, about 50 yds out the trail
from the boat launch.
WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS - 1 adult singing, 1 first winter, at the same place

EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE - 5-6 , in Edison, in a tree along the slough
towards the north part of town.

MERLIN - in Edison, near the main intersection

PEREGRINE FALCON - 3 around the Samish Flats

SHORT-EARED OWLS - in 3 locations -1 at the Hayton Reserve, 1 at the
North Fork Access, and at least 4 at the West-90.

Several Rough-legged Hawks, and innumerable N.Harriers & Bald Eagles
everywhere, rounding out the day.

We made a brief attempt for the Harris's Sparrow, but it was mid-day
and nothing was moving at the Pink Guard Rail. We did talk to a local
woman there who said it might have been seen recently further west
downt the gravel road along the slough at the same spot.

All in all, a very good day,
