From my feeder for the past week a townsend warbler has caught my eye. Also dark eyed juncos, red breasted nuthatch, black capped chickadees,chestnut-backed chickadees, bushtits and possibly a bewicks wren,Saturday afternoon walked from Saltys on Alki to the Lighthouse and back.Found the flock of blackturnstones and what looked like some surfbirds mixed in as they had bright yellow legs.Other birds noted.
Great blue heron
Double crested cormorants
Rock doves
European starlings
Commen goldeneyes
Barrows goldeneyes
Western grebes
Horned grebes
Buffleheads
White winged scoter
Commen scoter
Golden crowned sparrow
american crow
Glaucus winged gull
2 other sightings of some kind of loon and of a mure or murrelet. The mure had a very low profile which led me to believe it to be a murrelet?,
Either way it was a good walk for me and the dog.
