I went out to Mystery bay early this afternoon. There was a flock of 14
gold crowned sparrows. One male was in breeding plumage! Also saw hooded
and common mergazers, buffle heads, junco, lots of robins, crows, one sp
loon, lesser yellow legs and several gulls.
Tried to go to lower Oak Bay county park, but the road is still closes due
to damage from a storm while back. I was not dressed to go wander in the
cold, so did not walk down to see what birds were there.
