Another good source of bird song recordings online is the Cornell Ornithology website (www.birds.cornell.edu<http://www.birds.cornell.edu/>) and go to 'all about birds', then to 'bird guide'. There you can search for birds by taxa, or by common name. Not all U.S. birds are listed or have recorded song, but it's a fairly comprehensive list.

For a good time I recommend listening to the recording of Willow Ptarmigan.
