I recently posted an email to Dr. Paulson with a copy to Tweeters,
forwarding an email with a photo of a possible Terek Sandpiper found by some new but
dedicated birders. The response I received was courteous but evidently the
photo was not received, and a link was requested. Another said that Tweeters
did not receive photos, so I assume that the photo did not go out to our
membership.
Please tell me how I should proceed -- the people that found the
bird are really dedicated birders and deserve our attention. I've never seen
the Terek but all of my books--showing pictures of sandpipers with bright
orange legs and upturned bill--make me think that someone should pay attention. .
. . and I need to get the word out!
