At 3:00 PM yesterday (2/1/07) the SLATY-BACKED GULL was at the mouth of the Cedar River. When I returned a few minutes later with a camera, the bird was gone. This time there was a 2nd winter GLAUCOUS GULL.

After a few minutes I left to seek out the PALM WARBLER. I didn't find that bird, but did see the slaty-backed atop Boeing's southernmost angled roof, viewed looking NNE from the higher ground above the restrooms. Later in the afternoon, the slaty-backed was joined on the roof by the GLAUCOUS GULL.
