Hi, Murray.

I responded to your post immediately with the comment that the bird
was a Greater Yellowlegs. Wonder why you didn't get it....

The bird's legs are much too long for a Terek Sandpiper, which is a
short-legged bird. The tail pattern of the yellowlegs shows fairly
clearly in the photo; Tereks don't hav bars on the tail feathers. And
the bill of a Terek is even more obviously upcurved. Also, I don't
think they usually feed in water.
