Hello All:
I had a little time to stop at the Cedar River mouth between 4:25 and 5:00
this afternoon. When I got there, the flock was growing on the sandbar, but
that all ended when an adult eagle came in and proceeded to eat a dead gull
on the bar. Many gulls were going directly out onto the lake, but most of
the flock I soon realized was landing on the roofs on the entrance road.
After several scans, I suddenly picked out the 2W Glaucous Gull and the same
adult Slaty-backed Gull on the roof.

Also, I finally saw the Palm Warbler, foraging alone on the second mound
from the kayak center parking.
