Date: Feb 8 11:23:25 2007
From: Diann MacRae - tvulture at vei.net

Hi, Tweets

Turkey vultures are starting to straggle
northward so time to send out a short winter
sightings report before the real migration
starts. I had some computer problems earlier, so
if you have additional winter sightings, please let me know.

Turkey vultures seen in Washington and Oregon,
December through early February, 2007:

December
25 ? two over the McComb Road Nursery, Sequim

January
14 ? 1 at Gold Beach, Oregon
20 ? 1 north of East Wenatchee
29 ? 1 adult walking on the ground near Point Defiance, Tacoma

February
07 ? individuals reported from Otis, Manning,
Wilson SWA, Corvallis, and Peoria, Oregon

Be sure to look up - sightings from now on are most welcome!

Cheers, Diann
