I live on Orcas Island and up to about a year and a half ago I had Pine Siskins by the 10's and 20's at my feeders year around. I have surely missed their constant twitter. Yesterday, I noticed that there were more than the usual juncoes at the feeder and, much to my surprise, there were at least a half dozen siskins along with several Purple Finches which we only get occasionally. The siskins are still here today. I am delighted to see my old friends again.
