Yesterday I received a couple of photos of a Long-eared Owl taken on the
AuSable property east of Coupeville. Alas, the photographer says they were
from ? a couple of weeks ago?. They definitely show a Long-eared Owl perched
on some blackberry brambles. I believe this may be the 2nd ever sighting on
the island.
I?ll go out there this weekend and try and relocate the bird. This isn?t
far from the mockingbird site.
