Hello Tweets,

We have just updated our website with 10 new photos of the White-tailed Kite taken yesterday at Bottle Beach. A few of the first photos of the bird were taken fairly close on a short dead snag in the open field, but the last few photos were taken at a distance. These latter photos were of the bird with it's prey,as it sat atop a fairly tall evergreen tree all the while watching us too. The bird seems very comfortable at the location and plenty of voles and possibly rats and mice abound in the open, wet fields. Our latest photos of the White-tailed Kite at Bottle Beach can be viewed at the following link: http://www.pbase.com/godwit/white-tailed_kite_photos/

In addition to photos of the White-tailed Kite we have placed two photos of the 2nd winter plumaged Glaucous Gull onto our recent gallery. These photos were taken yesterday along the eastern portion of Brady Loop Rd.,which was one of 3 Glaucous Gulls at that location. It really seems like Glaucous Gulls are showing up at quite a few locations throughout western Washington,as well as a few locations in eastern Washington and Oregon too! Our photos of the 2nd winter plumaged Glaucous Gull can be accessed at the following link: http://www.pbase.com/godwit/recent_photos/

Sincerely,
