Tweets,

I finally relocated the Palm Warbler today about 1:30 PM in the alders along the Cedar River about mid-way along the park back from the mouth.

This time I looked more closely at the plumage and compared that with Sibley's illustrations of the "yellow" and "brown" forms on my return home. As Dennis Paulson noted, it is somewhat yellowish on the belly, but shows no hint of yellow on the throat, face, or breast. Thus is appears somewhat intermediate between the two forms as illustrated. Perhaps its simply within the range of variation of the western ("borwn") form or from some intermediate population.

Also, saw six Western Meadowlarks near the south gate off Russell Rd. in the Green River WRA in Kent.
