Hi Tweets,

While visiting my mother in Ocean Park (on the Long Beach Peninsula), in
addition to all the usual visitors to her many feeders, we were treated to
good looks at a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW. It was the "white striped" variety
and came to the feeder both Thursday and Friday, February 8th and 9th. It
was a first for her yard and an unusual sighting for Pacific County. Even
though this wasn't a birding trip, I saw numerous Black-bellied Plovers,
Sanderling and Dunlin while walking on the beach. I also saw an AMERICAN
KESTREL on Sandridge Road just east of Long Beach, and observed two TREE
SWALLOWS north of Oysterville on Wednesday, February 7th. Spring can't be
far away!

Good birding,

Barbara Webster
