Hello Tweets,

We have just updated our website with highlights taken yesterday including the Northern Mockingbird at Grayland,a cooperative immature Snowy Plover at Midway Beach Rd. and several more photos of the White-tailed Kite at Bottle Beach. Our photos of the Snowy Plover were nice and it was interesting to watch it interact with a more aggressive Sanderling that didn't seem to like the bird. The Snowy Plover is also banded and was alone and away from a group of 14 additional Snowy Plovers. The photo of the Northern Mockingbird turned out better than we thought since the lighting conditions were not that good being at 4:30pm. This bird is most likely the same individual present off and on at Grayland for the last several years, but seems to elude us on most visits as we drive by this coastal town.

Our latest photos can all be viewed at the following link: http://www.pbase.com/godwit/recent_photos/

Sincerely,

Ruth and Patrick Sullivan
