Gil and other interested parties,

There's a male American Wigeon in the large flock on the east side of
the lake that has a beautiful golden-yellow cheek. The patch extends
clear across the cheek and the color is very reminiscent of the coloring
on a Baikal Teal. Other than the cheek mark though, the bird looks very
much within the range of an American Wigeon.

There's a lot of possible hybridization among waterfowl, so if anyone
gets a look at the bird, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
