The PALM WARBLER was at the Cedar River mouth yesterday morning (2/12/07).

The bird was working the river's edge, moving south. When the bird reached the area of the rest rooms, it flew across the river; then returned a few minutes later. All sightings of this bird that I know of, including my 3, have been from near or north of the rest rooms. It might be found along the river to the west, working the chain link fence on the east edge of the park or in the conifers inbetween.

To my ear, the call of this PALM WARBLER is softer or should I say not as loud as that of the YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER, of which there are several in the park.

A few images taken yesterday may be viewed at the link below.
