I don't have Martha Jordan's address, or I would have sent this
directly to her.
We drove down a private road yesterday to scan a flock of swans (lots
of scanning, no Whooper) and saw a Trumpeter Swan with an apparent
broken wing, so I thought Martha or someone prepared to do so might
want to try to help it.
It was off Stackpole Road east of I-90. You can get on the frontage
road on the E side of the freeway, then go to Stackpole Road (between
Conway and Mount Vernon). East on Stackpole Road to the mailbox with
19996 Stackpole Road, then south on private road toward the isolated
house. The swan was on the east side of the road about two-thirds of
the way to the house. I assume the landowners would be sympathetic to
anyone trying to help the swan.
