This morning I checked the fields along Rice Rd. for the large flock of
Cackler Geese that Sullivan's had 2 days ago, but found none, not even
the Wigeon. So I checked the gulls out at Stan Hedwall Park instead, and
came up with a nice variety. Two adult Western Gulls, 4 adult Herring
Gulls, 2 Ring-billed Gulls, and 1 California Gull. Also seen was 1
Red-breasted Sapsucker.
After, I checked along Airport Rd. (the frontage road that parallels I-5
on the west), and found a flock of 100 Cacklers and Wigeons. There were
3 Eurasian Wigeons, and 1 Greater White-fronted Goose, but no Brant.
