Hello,
Thanks for the notes about the injured swan with a broken wing near the
Conway exit. I am aware of the bird.
I saw the bird about two weeks ago. A rescue was mounted the next day but
the swan was gone, likely hiding in the labyrinth of ditches.
However, we learned this swan was seen last summer and this fall as well.
It appears to be healthy and eating fine except for the broken wing. So, we
will be monitoring this bird and hopefully get it in the next few weeks or
after the other swans leave. Amazing survival story.
Meanwhile, if you see a change with this bird, please let me know.

I am also aware of the two sick swans at the slough at Johnson/DeBay Swan
Reserve.
