Joe -

The very first day I lived in Seattle, I drove to Kmart to get a shower
curtain. I got out of my car, turned around to follow the flight of a buncha
noisy Crows (Crows out here are MUCH noisier than the little peeper farm Crows
I was used to!), and GASP! There was Mount Rainier, sharp and snowy and clear
as day, sparkling in the sun, and most astonishing to me ... visible from the
KMart parking lot!

I still remember that moment, that sight, those crows, and that feeling. I
had ARRIVED. I knew at that moment that I had found my place to be.

Of course, over the next year I learned how very rarely the mountain is "out"
like that during WINTER. :) Heh. But the crows were around year-round, so it
evened out!

Cheers,
