Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday February 22. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The Eugene FALCATED DUCK and the Alvadore SUMMER TANAGER continue to be
seen. A TUFTED DUCK is now being seen on Meares Lake at Tillamook Bay.

There was a fairly strong TREE SWALLOW movement during the week. A few
VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS were among them. TURKEY VULTURES and SAY?S PHOEBES are
also increasing. RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS are now moving northward along the
coast.

On February 17 a COMMON REDPOLL was in Brookings. An EMPEROR GOOSE is now
being seen at Harris Beach State Park north of Brookings. On February 17 a
BARN SWALLOW was at Coquille.

On February 21 a NORTHERN SHRIKE was at the Sandy River Delta. Three PINE
GROSBEAKS were seen February 20 at the Hoyt Arboretum in northwest Portland.
A HARRIS?S SPARROW is now coming to a feeder in Canby. A CLARK?S GREBE was
on Hagg Lake, south of Forest Grove February 19. On February 20 a COMMON
REDPOLL was in Corvallis. A BLACK BRANT was seen February 16 on Hyatt Lake
in the Cascades east of Ashland.

A very early WESTERN KINGBIRD was reported February 18 at Summer Lake.
BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS, GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCHES, and AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS are
still being seen in the Wallowa Valley.
