Hi Tweets,

At 10:00 this morning the first-winter Black-headed Gull (BHGU) arrived with
a large flock of Bonaparte's Gulls (500+). To my eye it exhibits the same
plumage characteristics as the individual seen in December off of Bainbridge
Island.

Mid-morning to mid-afternoon should be the best times for searching over the
next three days - best tidal conditions. Picking-out the distinctive wing
pattern will help in locating the BHGU amongst the flying bonies. There are
plenty of alcids in the area with Marbled Murrelets being the most numerous.
Even if the BHGU doesn't make an appearance, the bird activity off of the
point is still quite a show.

Good luck and good birding,
