Tweeters-

A look for the Whooper Swan along Pioneer Highway Monday yielded both
trumpeters and Tundra swans (with quite variable amounts of yellow,
made a nice study). However, no Whooper Swan was found in any of the
groups. We poked around north of Conway looking for other groups of
swans but found very few.

Also, we've had persistent sightings/hearings of Red Crossbill in
various conifer clumps in the Maple Leaf neighborhood of Seattle.
Breeding? We'll see...
