The first bird in the yard this morning was a Mourning Dove followed in less than a minute by a Varied Thrush. The Brush Rabbit had already been there for about 15 minutes. Had 16 species of birds in first 1.5 hours. I do feed. A little sunflower seed on a stump, a little cracked corn on the ground and suet in some holes bored in a dead tree. The rabbbit likes the cracked corn and surprisingly to me so does the thrush.
Off to a good start,
