my "first" birds were actually four on the feeder, and pretty normal:
black-capped chickadees, red-breasted nuthatches, house finches, and
dark-eyed juncoes... the fifth, within seconds, was a return to the feeder
of my stellar's jays, missing since just before the wind and snow... i'm
not sure where they went, but i'm glad they're back...
