Thanks to Carol Schulz who checked out Lake Burien and confirmed that there were Redheads present. Actually two males and a female, not just two birds as earlier reported. Rolan Nelson, I think in a Pierce Co. part of the Vashon CBC count circle also had Redheads on count day.

The unofficial results so far are at least 120 species for the Vashon CBC, significantly over the previous record of 115. Sue Trevathan is still gathering in a few more reports, so we may have an additional species or two. Ironically, it seems that the most rare and/or interesting birds were all in off-island sections of the CBC circle whether in the Pierce and Kitsap slivers of the count circle or at Three Tree Point in Burien where it sticks just barely into the count circle. We missed getting someone out to Blake Island, I wonder what we missed there?
