The shift from yesterday's high around 30 to today's windy 52 created quite a change in the landscape. Snow and ice almost all gone, turned to ponded water that is sitting on frozen ground, so gravel and dirt roads are VERY soft. Yesterday's Snowy Owls seemed to have disappeared with the snow. Whether they are staying local inconspicuously or headed north to better background, areas in Douglas, Lincoln, and Spokane Counties might be a better search.
