Frustrated with all those birding emails mixed up with all your other mail?
I had a knowledgeable person show me how to set up additional FOLDERS to receive my TWEETERS and OBOL email, and get the birding news out of the personal email inbox folder. Not sure of the particular email programs out there, but with a good program you should be able to set it up to avoid the frustration of overwhelming amounts of mixed subject emails.
In MS Outlook Express - and going to OPTIONS and then MESSAGE RULES - we set up rules to MOVE mail with a particular word in the subject line into the two other folders as they come in. In addition, you can set up mail concerning your birding area to be COPIED into other folders. In my case, I did one for Klickitat County.
Oh, and cleaning out the old emails from these separate folders is a snap. If you don't know how to do a major delete, just ask someone (preferably a child) while you're waiting in line at megamart. This should be a good way to get a conversation started.
